Battle of Arracourt

The was the biggest tank battle in France in 1944. 300 German tanks vs. 500 US tanks. After finally securing the Lorraine region General Patton finally could enter the German border. After this France was completely liberated.

Any information on this topic?

The Allies were really outnumbered during this battle but had a more tactical advantage (aka more experince), factor that in with the weather and the German lack of preperation for the battle (they thought it would be a walk in the park so to speak) resulted in an Allied victory.

Thanks! I'll check them out!

but in Osprey's Lorraine 1944 Patton vs Manteuffel it says that Allied had more troops and the only thind that prevented them from fast vistory was a dense fog at the beginning which didn't allow the airstrikes.

I'm not sure, I will have to do some more research on that, I was always under the assumption that the Axis was outnumbering the Allies at Arracourt but didn't take the issue "seriously" enough for lack of a better word to take advantage.
